Call to Order

Senator Holland called the Faculty Caucus to order immediately following the Senate meeting.

Approval of Faculty Caucus Minutes of November 7, 2007

Motion: By Senator Alferink, seconded by Senator Fazel, to approve the Faculty Caucus Minutes of November 7, 2007. The motion was unanimously approved.

11.01.07.01 ASPT Calendar Proposed Revisions (Rodger Singley/University Review Committee)
Rescheduled for the Academic Senate Faculty Caucus Meeting of 01/23/08

Executive Session:

11.02.07.01 Distinguished Professor Recommendations (President Bowman)

The Illinois Open Meetings Act, section 5 ILCS 120/2 section c, 1, allows for closed meetings to consider “The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body”.

Senator Holland: We now need to go into Executive Session and that takes a two-thirds majority vote.

Motion: To go into Executive Session by Senator Stewart, seconded by Senator Kukla. The motion was unanimously approved.

Return to Open Session:

Adjournment

Motion: To adjourn by Senator Waterstraat, seconded by Senator Wang. The motion was unanimously approved.
